While you are searching for a puppy, please remember a responsible breeder will always take a puppy back--for whatever reason. Our dogs are part of the family and we don't want them to ever be dumped on the side of the road or in a shelter. Saffyre Bostons will be happy to accept one of our dogs back at any time during its life--whether a year or 12 years after purchase. All Bostons are not created equal. You may have no interest in owning a "show" dog but healthy genes, intelligence and good temperament are just as crucial for a pet. Behind every great dog is an involved owner so please don't buy a dog if you plan on putting it out in the yard and leaving it there without training or socialization.

All of our puppies are AKC registered before joining their new families. Each goes home with a Puppy Care Kit, which usually consists of a 3-5 generation pedigree; current vet records; a puppy toy & baby "blankie" for security; a bag of Wellness Super5Mix puppy food; & a wonderful CD-format photo album. If you find that you are interested in a Saffyre Boston, please email or call us! Upon request, we happily mail/email information containing photographs, pedigrees, and pricing/requirements for puppies. Please plan on checking back every couple months to remind us that you're still interested. I can't guarantee we'll have any "pet" puppies available but in the event that we do we will begin contacting those that have been waiting when the puppies are approx. 8 weeks old. Please note: we will not ship our puppies.

ALL COMPANION PET PUPPIES ARE PLACED ON LIMITED REGISTRATION!

A spay/neuter agreement is required to be signed, and proof of spaying / neutering must be submitted to us within six months of puppy's placement. A dog with limited AKC registration can be entered into AKC-sanctioned performance events such as Obedience, Agility, Flyball and Rally, but CANNOT be shown in conformation events.

Lastly, before you buy a dog from ANY breeder, make sure you read the information on the Boston Terrier Club of America website pertaining to Reputable Breeders and Breeder Referral. This information is INVALUABLE!!!!!!

WHAT DO OUR PUPPIES COST?

In the USA, purebred AKC registered Boston Terrier puppies from responsible breeders usually sell for $800 to $3,000. Saffyre puppies range from $1,000-$1,800. We encourage owners to be actively involved with their puppies and offer various rebates for certificates and titles.

We love show and performance homes because it allows other people to see and meet our dogs but pet homes are equally wanted and needed. We are always available to spend time doing "owner support" and are happy to help solve any problems you have with your new puppy or Boston.

Our price reflects the costs of health tests and genetic screenings for our dogs, including hearing (BAER) & vision (CERF) tests, and luxating patellas by veterinarians certified in those specialties. All of our dogs are socialized, and have attended multiple training classes. We only breed to stud dogs who have also passed all of their BTCA-recommended health tests. We want all of our puppies to live long healthy lives.

REBATES

Boston Terriers who attend training and do fun things with their owners bond more closely and make better and smarter pets. Frequently socialized Bostons are much less likely to bite and become a joy to be around. To encourage new owners to get involved with their pups, we offer the following rebates*.

Puppy Kindergarten Class - $25

Obedience Classes - $25 each course (max 4)

Canine Good Citizen OR Therapy Dog certificate - $25

Agility, Rally, and Tracking Titles - $50 each title

AKC Obedience Title - $100 each title

AKC or CanadianKC Conformation Championship - $100

Note: Neutered or spayed Bostons are not eligible to compete in conformation. They are fully eligible for all other titles and certificates. *Proof of completion of titles and certificates are required. Copies of receipts and graduation certificates from certified instructors are required for classes and courses. Rebates limited to a maximum of $200.
